AEROkunst, an exhibition organized by the German magazine Fliegermagazin during the AERO fair in Friedrichshafen, served as an important platform for aviation art and culture. In the 2015 edition, the section dedicated to art and publishing featured a series of works by Max Pinucci, particularly the “Airships” collection—a series of large-format, limited-edition prints celebrating the most iconic airships in history.

This exhibition also included the official presentation of the book Airships, designed and illustrated by Max Pinucci for Hun in the Sun. On April 13, 2015, Pinucci presented the book alongside Swiss expert Andreas Horn on the conference stage, offering an in-depth overview of the history and evolution of airships.

The volume, which includes contributions from international experts such as Gregory Alegi and Basilio Di Martino (Italy), Sergei Bendin (Russia), Dan Grossman (USA), Alastair Reid (UK), and Carl-Oscar Lawaczeck (Sweden), has generated significant interest among enthusiasts and industry professionals.

Hun in the Sun continued to participate in subsequent editions of the fair in 2016, 2017, and 2019, showcasing prints, posters, and the Airships book, solidifying its role as a reference point in aviation art and visual storytelling related to the history of airships. Each edition allowed Hun in the Sun to strengthen its presence and share its passion for the innovation and elegance of these extraordinary vehicles of the sky.
