From Myth to Future Aerospace

Space Shed :: Beyond the Dream

Conference and exhibition
Spazio Shed (ex Lanificio Conti)
Schio, Italy (Dec. 2015 – March 2016)

The exhibition, held in Schio between December 2015 and March 2016, transformed humanity’s journey through the skies and into space into an interactive and emotional experience. It immersed visitors in a narrative that spanned from the myth of Icarus to the frontiers of space exploration.

Max Pinucci and Hun in the Sun played a pivotal role in the event, contributing high-level historical, technological, and artistic content. They highlighted the significance of airships in the aeronautical landscape and presented a forward-looking vision of the future of human flight.

With our approach, combining design, storytelling, and innovation, we curated a pivotal moment of the exhibition: a conference that delved deeply into the evolution of airships, featuring presentations by Max Pinucci and Carl-Oscar Lawaczeck. This event went beyond a historical narrative, presenting airships as symbols of progress and sustainability, highlighting the potential of new technologies in the context of air transport and exploration. Within the dedicated spaces, prints and illustrations from the book Airships were also showcased.

Hun in the Sun’s contribution extended beyond the conference: through Pinucci’s creative vision, we presented the book Airships. Designed for greatness. The illustrated history, a work that celebrates the grandeur and aesthetics of airships with illustrations, technical data, and captivating stories. This participation added significant value to the exhibition, weaving together art, science, and technology into a narrative that inspired the audience, offering a fresh perspective on the past, present, and future of human flight.
